Fatal I84 Accident
On Sunday Oct 14, 2007 at 5pm, Stony Hill FD was alerted to a
motor vehicle accident on I84 eastbound between exits 8 and 9. First responders
reported a fully involved vehicle fire while enroute to the FD. Upon Engine 3
arrival, FD officer reported a two car MVA with one pickup truck fully involved
in fire and second car with 3 occupants traumas requiring extrication. Stony
Hill Engine 3, Engine 2, Rescue 2, Ambulance 3 along with Bethel A1 and A2,
Rescue 1, and Danbury Engine 22 and Danbury EMS units along with two Regional
Paramedics responded to the scene. Rescue 2 remained on scene for several hours
providing lighting for CT State Police.
